Relay Compatibility for Multiple Voltage Levels
KB Signaling's Switch Control Relays are designed to operate seamlessly with KB Signaling’s 5E, 5F, 5R, and Model 6 Switch Machines.
The Neutral Switch Control Relays are equipped with silver cadmium oxide (SCdO) heavy-duty (HD) contacts. These contacts are engineered to operate within a current range of 0.300 to 10A, at a maximum of 30V.
Biased-Neutral Switch Control Relays offer enhanced contact configurations. They use either a full set of extra heavy-duty (EHD) contacts or a combination of EHD and medium-duty (MD) contacts, which include magnetic blowouts. These EHD contacts are made from SCdO, silver-impregnated carbon to silver (AgC-S), or a combination of both materials.
Relays using EHD contacts are designed with clips that hold magnets near the contact area. This setup allows the relay to "blow" or disperse the electric arc before it can develop and damage the contact material.
All Switch Control Relays are available in size B1. These relays are plugboard mounted, allowing for easy installation and convenient access to test points.
