The Microchron® II Vital Timer's superior design combines the accuracy of a microprocessor with the output characteristics of a mechanical relay.
It is specifically designed to prevent contacts from picking up until the set time interval has fully expired. This interval begins the moment power is applied and will last at least as long as the duration set on the thumbwheel switch.
In the event of a failure, the timer is designed to exhibit a delay longer than the set time, while never allowing a shorter delay. This ensures reliable and safe operation under all conditions.
When power is removed, gravity causes the front contacts to open, providing a fail-safe response and maintaining operational safety.
