WESTMINSTER, Maryland, August 25, 2026 – Knorr-Bremse today announced a series of leadership changes that will support the company's One North America strategy and position its Americas Rail business for continued growth and success.

Effective September 30, 2026, Ulisses Camilo will retire from his role as President and CEO of North America Rail after a distinguished career with the company. Mr. Camilo will remain as an executive advisor through the end of 2026 to support a smooth transition.

For many years, Mr. Camilo has played a significant role in strengthening customer relationships, developing the organization, and guiding the North American Rail business through periods of growth, transformation, and change. The company expressed its gratitude for his numerous contributions and lasting impact on employees, customers, and the business.

Ilan Elad will become President and CEO, Rail Americas, effective September 14, 2026. Mr. Elad brings more than three decades of international executive leadership experience across industrial manufacturing, commercial vehicles, technology, sales, operations, and business transformation. Most recently, he served as President and Managing Director of the Americas for Kornit Digital and previously held senior leadership positions with Daimler Trucks.

In addition, Knorr-Bremse announced that Piotr Sroka has been appointed President and CEO, Knorr-Bremse North America, assuming responsibility for overall regional leadership while continuing to lead Bendix, LLC.

Under the new structure, Mr. Elad will report to both Mr. Sroka and Dr. Nicolas Lange, Member of the Executive Board responsible for the Rail Division.

"At the same time, Piotr's expanded leadership responsibility for North America will strengthen alignment across our regional businesses and create new opportunities to leverage shared capabilities,” said Dr. Lange. “Together, these leadership appointments support our ambition to build a stronger, more agile, and more profitable North American organization that is well positioned for sustained success."

The One North America initiative is designed to strengthen alignment across Knorr-Bremse's North American businesses while preserving the distinct strengths and market focus of its Rail and Commercial Vehicle Systems operations. The company expects the approach to improve collaboration, accelerate decision-making, leverage shared capabilities, and support sustainable profitable growth.
