Unlike traditional analog circuits, the EC6’s digital communication architecture allows increased data transmission between wayside locations. Each EC6-equipped site can share signal transmission and reception information with others, enabling real-time monitoring of ballast conditions – a powerful diagnostic tool for assessing overall track health.

This cutting-edge design supports operation under lower ballast resistance and provides enhanced detection of poor shunting vehicles, improving safety and reliability.

The EC6 also allows users to insert application defined statuses into the rail-based communication, making it possible to transmit customized information such as maintenance alerts, switch positions, or crossing alarms directly through the track circuit.
